Our white play sand is non-toxic, contains no free silica or free quartz making it environmentally friendly. This 5 lb bag of sand is completely different than any other you have seen. Most often, companies market pea gravel or masonry sand in place of the play sand. But ours is specifically made for sandboxes while Masonry or pea gravel are not. While masonry sand is fine-grained, our sand's grains are even finer. When thinking of filling a sandbox, think safety first and go for the safer sand specifically made for therapeutic play rather than the cheaper masonry sand
