Great toy, efficient and caring service
The train arrived across the border quickly, in perfect condition. Two letters of the same colour have to be positioned closer together than I liked. Other than that it's perfect and still looks great. The shipping charge cross border was reasonable at $9.99. I had formerly purchased (in Canada) a train from this company for each of my 7 grandkids as they were born The trains are no longer sold where I live. So I was willing to pay the adjusted rate in Canadian funds. Just a heads up to Canadians: UPS will waive customs fees if you contact this wonderful train company. But be sure to do that.

We are glad that you liked the train however, we wish that you had contacted us before paying the customs and duty on the item.
There are no customs and duty due on most of our items because of their price and the fact that they are all made in the US. Whenever we ship our products using regular mail, our customers do not pay any customs or excise fees. It is only when we ship our products via UPS that for some reason UPS asks for taxes and fees! Once you explain the situation to them, they should waive and reverse the fees.
Unfortunately regular mail is slower than UPS for cross-border shipping and that is why, from time to time, we use them rather than regular mail.
